Being lost in my depression felt like
stumbling through a fog.
The pieces of me,

the thick air rubbed against my wounds.
The compass needle spinning wildly.
Staticnoiseinsidemyhead.
The fetid corpse of my consciousness conquered,
doomed
to be
exhumed.
My very self seemed hidden from me.
A frightning face would leer as though
to threaten,
“DON’T LOOK ANY CLOSER!”
and life became a horror show.
