2 global media conferences in Nigeria to attend or follow online this week

If you have not already registered to participate in the International Press Institute World Congress or the African Women in the Media Conference holding in Abuja and Ibadan respectively this week it’s already late to attend the two international programmes.

Notwithstanding, you can still follow the proceedings online through websites of the organisations and social media platforms.

The IPI World Congress which will hold from 21–23 June is a high profile gathering of editors, media executives and leading journalists from globally renowned outlets and theme for this year’s gathering is Why good journalism matters.

The women conference, AWIM 18 from 21–22 June according to the organizer, award-winning journalist, Dr Yemisi Akinbobola, has visibility as its theme and promises to empower delegates through panels, workshops and networking.

The IPI congress will “affirm the indispensable role of quality media in building strong societies, showcasing investigative stories and projects that bring positive change to individuals and communities in Africa and around the world.”

It will feature among others Africa Media Forum, Networking &Social Events, Plenary sessions, Workshops and tours to be facilitated by top global media professionals
