Why do we need hardware restarters for mining rigs.

Many may ask this question, what is the real deal with the manageable hardware restarters, and why do we need them in a first place. I would like to show you some of the most interesting features that top devices have in offer. On this particular case we will discuss the Revive — Manageable hardware restareter.

Manageable Hardware Restarter ? What it does ?

Simply it reboots your mining rig each time its stops responding. This might be caused by various of reasons — mostly from unexpected equation solve our OS may freeze. No software restarter will be able to force reboot at this point, so either you will have to personally reboot device with the button — or trust the Revive to do it for you. Either way this is situation that occurs in mines very often. Our rigs are equipped with GPU’s that were not entirely created for the purpose of mining. To make them work better they sometime need outside support.

Power surge ? No problem !

Who is a miner and never experienced a major power surge in his mine is a lucky man. That would not be a problem if rigs wanted to reboot automatically. Usually you need to manually turn one each machine to get it back on track. Hopefully, Revive features an automatic solution for that matter. As soon the power surge end, Revive will boot and start to boot your machines. If anything unexpected happens, configured correctly — it may notificate you about problems with machine — so you won’t be forced to visit your mine each time surge occurs. This may increase a yearly performance of your mine and give you much less reasons to worry.

Control by app.

Revive allows you to connect up to 16 rigs at the time. If your mine setup typically — Revive will connect to your rigs automatically and begin the watchdog. Every time an unwanted event occur, Revive will reboot this single rig at once. However if you decide to turn off some of your machines — you can do it via desktop or mobile app. Less attention as a mine take-care is needed, more time for you.
